Caseload :
4-10 students (ages 3-6 years old) with developmental disabilities in a self-contained classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs - Plan and deliver effective lessons tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of students - Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with developmental disabilities - Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, administrators, and parents to ensure the individualized needs of each student are met - Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students, parents, and colleagues - Utilize various instructional strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance - Foster positive relationships with students, families, and the community Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred) - Valid teaching certification in Special Education - Experience working with students with developmental disabilities - Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to special education - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students with special needs succeed
